small lip product haul !

I recently went to the drugstore in the search of the new Nivea Lip Butters.  As you can see I was successful! Two other cult favourites made their way home with me as well. I ended up picking the lip butter in the scent 'vanilla & macadamia' , it smells amazing if you prefer the sweet candy scents. It leaves your lips feeling very moisturized and smooth.  I have been using it at night because it does create a faint white colour on your lips.  Nivea's milk & honey chap stick is one of my all time favourites, you can never go wrong with it. Also, the EOS balms are always a great choice. This was my first time seeing the pomegranate / raspberry scent here in Canada so I scoped it up without thinking twice.

Have you tried any of these products or do you have one to recommend me ?

review : LUSH's Comforter Bubble Bar

"When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for passionately purple water and creamy, comforting bubbles. This massive slice of vibrant fruitiness gives you the feeling of being enveloped in a warm hug and gently consoled by the friendly fruity aroma of a blackcurrant candy. It was created to bring a real sense of comfort to people, just like a real comforter would. Snuggle in, and stay undercover until you’re ready to face the world once again. Even better, each bar creates two baths of fruity comfort." - Lush website

Im so happy my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to lush ! I have been wanting to try this bubble bar for over a year.  The only reason I had been holding off is the cost. This beauty will set you back $10.95. Which seemed pretty ridicules . . . until I used it ! It smells amazing, leaves your skin feeling like satin and it turns your bath water into a beautiful purple/pink colour! You can get about 3-4 bath's out of one bubble bar. I defiantly recommend this product if your wanting to treat yourself !

What LUSH product would you recommend ?

  •  Curel Hand and Cuticle Therapy Cream FULL SIZE ! ($3.99) - So thrilled about this product ! Just yesterday I was blabbing to my boyfriend how I need a new cream for winter ! This one doesn't disappointment , leaves your hands feeling moisturized but not greasy ! A + !
  • Vitabath Moisturizing Bath and Shower Gelee in Fresh Citrus Twist - I used this as a bubble bath last night and was pleasantly surprised ! It is paraben and sulphate free and has a great 'citrusy' and 'earthy' smell to it !
  • Nexxus Salon Hair Care: Hydration Kit - One of my favourite products to get in these boxes is defiantly shampoo's and conditioners ! They are both very hydrating and smell delicious , the shampoo has a hint of coconut !
  • Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher in 'Glossy Rosewood' FULL SIZE ($16.73) - A beautiful pink shade that will be perfect all year round ! Love how we got a full size blusher !
  • Maybelline MNY My Gloss in '769' FULL SIZE ($7.49) - A nice gold sparkly lip gloss that screams new years eve !
  • Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Holiday shades in 'Here We Kome A-Karoling' FULL SIZE ($10.99)- A deep shimmery purple that is perfect for the holidays ! I really wish I received 'all is glam , all is bright' but alas. . . I did not ! Maybe I'll have to pick it up myself !
  • two little bonuses in the box was a little yummy candy cane and an Uber loyalty card that you can use online to get 50% off ! This was also the first month that we got a glossymag ! its just a little book that has trends and tips !
This month's box was fantastic in my opinion ! Still not too pleased with the $6 price increase . . . but they did step it up this month with 4 full size products ! And this is the first box where I will actually use every single product ! The retail price for this box is roughly about $55 and and the monthly cost of the box is now $21 ! I will be sticking around for a couple more months to see what glossybox will do next and also to use my points for a free box !

November Empties : products I've used up !

Bumble and Bumble Prep - I love this product ! I use it to help detangle my hair after I wash it ! You can also use it as a next day style refresher !
This product costs $20.00 and I would repurchase it !

Sally Hansen Insta-strong - This is a fantastic nail hardener ! I use it as a base coat and have really seen a huge difference in my nails !
it costs $3-5 and I would repurchase this polish !

Clean&Clear Morning Burst - Morning burst in-shower facial is a great product from Clean & Clear ! The delicious citrus scent is a great wake - up call in the morning !
I used this product 2-3 times a week as a delicate exfoliate . This product costs $5-8 and I would maybe repurchase !

Nivea Hydro care - I have always been a fan of Nivea's lip-care line and this product doesn't disappoint ! Costs $3 and defiantly would repurchase !

Dove visiblecare body wash  - I received this product in my glossy box a couple months ago and finally used it up ! It is a good body wash with a refreshing light scent
and it lives up to the claim of softer skin.  I recommend this product especially for the winter months. This product cost $7-9 and I would maybe repurchase.

review : LUSH's Porridge Soap

I LOVE the smell of this soap! . . . But I would not repurchase this soap because the actual oatmeal chunks are to harsh for my sensitive skin and the clean up of this soap is . . . annoying. As you use it , you will notice your sink or shower will begin to collect the bits of oatmeal at the bottom. Frustrating ,yes ,but if you don't mind cleaning up after your soap and you don't have sensitive skin, then I would recommend this. The light scent is likeable by all.

review : MAC's Studio Fix Powder

- - - - - - - - -

It's safe to say that I have been pleased with MAC once again! I first heard of / experimented with this powder thanks to my big sister . . . and I've been obsessed ever since! I knew I had to go out and get one for my self! at $35 it is quite expensive. But for a high quality product , you have to be willing to pay a higher price tag! Also,  the packaging is exactly what I was looking for , sleek and simple.

Studio fix is the only powder that has ever worked for me. I have dry/sensitive skin and it is really hard to find any product out there that does not accentuate my dry skin. Although, I do still apply a thick layer of my daily moisturizer before applying this powder. This may not be the right product for everyone but I think the way you apply it makes a huge difference.  This product comes with a sponge (hidden in the bottom compartment) , but I strongly recommend you use a powder brush or a kabuki to achieve a more air brushed look.  The coverage is medium , and works incredibly well when trying to cover under eye discolourations.

Price tag aside , I would repurchase this product because I have never found a powder that works so well.

review : Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Shadow

There has been a lot ( I  mean A LOT) of buzz about these new cream eyeshadows that are newly released by Maybelline. Many are comparing them to MAC's Paint Pots , some are even going as far to say that they prefer them over the paint pots. They cost $9 each and you can pick them up at any drugstore.

There are 10 different colours available , but since I don't wear bright colours or I don't really do shimmer, I went with the only matte neutral colour "tough as taupe".  I'm not sure if they really last 24hr's , but I did wear it for over 7 hours before I finally took all my make - up off.  Even after I washed my face you could still faintly see the product when I woke up the next morning (impressive!) .

I found it best to apply the shadow lightly with your fingers and then blend it out around the edges with your favourite blending brush! In the photo I included of myself , I am only wearing "tough as taupe". So as you can see , you could JUST wear this shadow and look completely made up! No one will know it took you less then 1 minute to do your make-up.  This shadow shows no signs of creasing , so it's perfect to use as a primer/base.

I recommend this product for everyone. Its affordable and it's my newest "holy grail" product!

review : Sally Hansen french manicure pen

finished the white tips at 5 coats...
used Sally Hansen Insta-Strong nail hardener as my top coat
all finished!

over all this product is alright, not outstanding but alright. The pen tip makes the whole french tips a lot easier to do, and a lot quicker ( this product dries UBER fast ). The only kind of let down is the fact that it took 5 coats to make the tip of my nail completely white, while on the package it says that it works with one swipe over the nail ... false much?  Also , this product chips very easily (too easily) ! but the pen tip makes it easy to touch up. This product would be great for a quick manicure to get ready for a night out!  For the price ( under $4.00 ) I would say it is worth it. I'll give this product a 2/5 , and I will not repurchase it.

review : L'oreal lash architect mascara

" false lash effect mascara "

as you can hopefully see, i'm wearing this l'oreal mascara on my one eye with no mascara at all on my other ! it really shows the difference this mascara makes ! I just got this mascara a couple days ago( thanks to my mum ! ) and i have been wearing it since . i gave this product the big test by wearing it to work , I work in a restaurant so i'm constantly running around try to satisfy customers . this mascara defiantly stayed in place throughout the night , also its not water proof ! i love a good non-waterproof mascara that will not budge . i give this product a 5/5 , it really does give a "false lash effect" without being too over the top . you can find this product at select drugstores.

review : moroccan oil

my hair's best friend ? moroccan oil !

Moroccan oil has been raved about a lot lately , and for good reasons !
This product contains the rare argan oil that is exclusive to Morocco , which
is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E.  It runs a bit pricey , but I believe it's
worth every penny .  The product can be used to control frizz , restore over
processed hair, hydrate and rejuvenate hair. Also, can be used as a hair
detangler.

how I use :
After washing hair proceed to towel dry. Then apply a quarter-sized amount
of oil to where ever needs an extra boost ! I apply it mostly to my ends to add
control and shine. You can also work the product from your roots to ends.
Don't worry about your hair becoming greasy , it's incredibly light weight.
I let my hair air dry with this product in because I believe it lets my natural
curls show.

Moroccan oil can be found at most salons for around $35
